KATE AND JONATHAN
COLUMBUS EVENT CENTER, TORONTO, ON
Kate and Jonathan were such a loving couple to work with!! They'd had a number of challenges securing venues and setting a date before I was called in to help get them sorted. Fortunately, I knew of a "hidden gem" which not only fit the budget but combined Jonathan's Italian heritage with Kate's love of art.. making it a perfect fit for them both.
From the first, the goal was to to balance the couple's modern sensibilities with their desire for traditional elements reflective of their faith and importance of family. After traditionally religious ceremony (in the stunning garden of Sala Caboto) guests were invited to start the reception in the Carrier Art Gallery, while the couple took their formal post-ceremony photos. When they arrived, guests were greeted with a traditional Italian Antipasto station and drinks... as well as a not-so-traditional photo guest book, Superman themed grooms cake and Lego decor, handmade by the groom.
We were able to maximize on the bride's incredibly talented family, who hand-crafted each table number sign as well as designing the seating chart. The grooms cousin MC'd the whole event and his mother hand wrapped over 100 chocolate favours... making it a truly family affair!
By making the day a true team effort, we were able to deliver the day of Kate and Jonathan's dreams, and came in just under budget to boot!!
